I bought a guitar about 12 years ago. I bought it for $100 from a pawn shop in Santa Barbara, CA. I played it for a while; but, always felt that it wasn't that good looking and didn't sound that good.
In 2009 January I decided to pay a little more attention to this vintage guitar that I have, and found that it is one of a kind Squire which was built in 1996 in Korea. It still has the original pickups and nobs that look pretty cool. Also, some reviews on the internet said the squire from the 80's and 90's actually sounded better than a Fender Strat (well, it is the internet...).
I decided to replace all the parts that are warn out, with original Fender parts hoping to add some value to this vintage guitar that I have.
